We’re looking for a Junior / Middleweight Designer
Rail Media, an Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire based media company require a Junior / Middleweight creative graphic designer with 2+ years experience, who is as big on ideas as on the craft of design.
Before you read on – experience in these skills are essential:
* Quark – Essential
* Photoshop & Illustrator – Essential
* Mac literate – Essential
Got those? Excellent. You must be capable of producing outstanding, fully-realised campaign ideas, from conception through to completion of final print-ready / web-ready / digital-ready artwork which will demonstrated via your portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be a bright spark who is extremely organised and able to prioritise work accordingly. You will have an excellent eye for detail – as you will be required to read documents to detect and correct text errors and speeling mistakes. Technical know-how is an advantage.
Rail Media is a successful, growing business which creates three print publications, fourteen industry websites, two award ceremonies and several industry conferences.
If you have not heard from the recruiting officer within two weeks of the closing date please assume you have not been successful. Thank you for the interest in the post and our organisation.

We’re off to Brisbane and we’re exhibiting at AusRAIL PLUS 2011.
If you’re in town, pop down and say hello.
We’re off on a daytrip to Long Marston
On Friday 16th September we’ll be heading over to the Rail Alliance as they throw open their doors at the Long Marston Railways Storage facility near Stratford on Avon for Macro Rail 2011.
They’ve invited the rail industry to come along and look at over 50 of their member companies demonstrating and exhibiting their products and services, for free – that’s right up our street, so we’ll be there.
The former MOD facility was used as a logistical depot for the D-Day Landings has been used as a railway storage facility for over 1000 pieces of rolling stock for the last few years and has over 20 miles of private track with 125 run offs and sidings.
Rail Alliance members will be carrying out live exhibitions around the depot facility, the track area and inside one of the hangars.
Confirmed so far are live welding demonstrations, tamping machine demonstrations, vegetation embankment control and a new road rail shunting machine.
So, we’ll see you there from 10am to 4pm – speak to Rhona Clarke on 01789 720 026 (info@railalliance.co.uk) for more information.
